Alexa Park Las Vegas: A Neil Diamond Tribute

ROB GARRETT’S “King of Diamonds” Neil Diamond tribute Las Vegas residency CONTINUES ON in the “Alexis Park Modern Showrooms” at ALEXIS PARK HOTEL.

Music icon Neil Diamond is one of the best-selling and most iconic singer/songwriters in contemporary pop-rock music history.

More than just being one of the biggest selling and most successful live artists ever, he’s also written and recorded the songs of a generation — including some of the most unforgettable songs on the planet.

In the beginning of 2018, shortly before his 77th year, Neil Diamond stepped away from live performances after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s.

However, Diamond’s on-stage legacy continues to be celebrated for audiences across the globe through longtime Las Vegas performer Rob Garrett, widely regarded as the top Neil Diamond tribute artist.

Ask Google “who is the top Neil Diamond tribute artist,” and you’ll get the same answer.

Like his musical hero, Rob Garrett was born in Brooklyn, NY.

In the spring of 1974, his parents relocated from New York City to the Las Vegas Valley, where, at age 16, he witnessed his first Neil Diamond concert when Diamond debuted in Las Vegas to record crowds at the Aladdin Theater for the Performing Arts (now “PH Live”) in July 1976.

Garrett went on to see him another 16 times across the country—right up until Diamond’s last American show at the Los Angeles Forum on August 12, 2017.

In 1980, Garrett formed his own band, “Rock n Roll Heaven,” and enjoyed a long and successful run in Las Vegas and across the nation before making the move from cover band frontman to a tribute artist dedicated to one of his musical idols.

In 1995, Garrett was personally hired by Paul Revere, leader of “The Raiders” to portray Neil Diamond in the “Legends in Concert” show in Honolulu, Hawaii.

What was meant to be a three-month trial turned into a three-year success.

By August 1998, Garrett returned home to Las Vegas and continued to perform with “Legends” for another couple of years before deciding to go independent.

He began a busy tour circuit, building a devoted fan base along the way—earning the title “King of Diamonds Neil Diamond Tribute.”

He continues to sell out theaters nationwide, often in venues fit for superstars.

Garrett has also earned several honors, including “Male Tribute Artist of the Year.”

“Since Neil Diamond retired, I’ve felt a strong sense of responsibility to keep his legacy alive for future generations. It’s something I never get tired of doing,” he said.

On May 19, Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman officially proclaimed the date “Rob Garrett Day,” commemorating his 50 years living in Las Vegas and 44 years as a professional Vegas performer.

Now in the year 2025, Garrett celebrates 45 years on stage in Las Vegas, with the last 30 years devoted solely to paying tribute to the now-retired Neil Diamond.

It has been said that no other tribute artist is so closely identified with the original performer as Garrett, who has appeared at more Vegas stages Rob Garrett Neil Diamond Tribute Show Las Vegas dinner package than any other.

Since the June closing of “A Beautiful Noise” (the Broadway jukebox musical based on Diamond’s life story), Rob Garrett’s “King of Diamonds” show has become the only continuous Neil Diamond tribute in the U.S..

The Alexis Park Resort is located at 375 E. Harmon Ave., near the Las Vegas Strip.
